ANNEXATION

The statement made by Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who denies Russia's annexation of Ukraine's Crimean peninsula, is a wake-up call and a slap in the face to Ukraine. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine - Pavlo Anatoliyovych Klimkin, said on Facebook on December 4, 2019.

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemelyevich Tokayev, said that his country did not call the situation in Crimea annexation by Russia.

In an interview with “Deutsche Welle”, he said that annexation was “a word too hard for the Crimea”.

“What has happened has happened”, Tokaev said.
