TAPI gas pipeline will benefit the entire region, including $ 1 billion for Afghanistan transit

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Kureishi said on Thursday (August 26-th, 2021) that the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline is beneficial for the entire region, and Afghanistan alone will receive $ 1 billion as transit fees and royalties.

Speaking to the media following a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Foreign Minister said the project is expected to create 2,000 new jobs with enormous opportunities, the Pakistani “Daily Times” reported.

First kidney transplant performed in Turkmenistan

A kidney transplant operation was performed for the first time in Turkmenistan. Minister of Health and Medical Industry Nurmuhammet Amannepesov reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the successful operation of domestic specialists.

The patient received a kidney transplant from a close relative. Currently, both the patient and the donor are doing well. Both are under medical supervision, the minister said.

Canada Post Corporation has resumed international mail service with Turkmenistan, Canada Post reports.

In addition to Turkmenistan, postal communication has also been resumed with a number of other countries, the report said.

Besides Canada, a number of other countries have already resumed international postal communication with Turkmenistan.

Earlier, the Moldova Post also resumed receiving international mail to Turkmenistan with Turkmenistan.

The Bulgarian Council of Ministers has approved draft bilateral agreements on the regulation of labour migration between the government of Bulgaria and the governments of Albania and Turkmenistan, Trend.az reports.
