EU sees possibility of direct bilateral engagement between Azerbaijan, Armenia – Charles Michel

„In recent months we have seen the possibility for direct bilateral contact between Azerbaijan and Armenia. And, you know, I have tried to do my best on behalf of the EU to help facilitate the direct dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia“, Charles Michel told the journalists.

The EU sees the possibility of direct bilateral engagement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Charles Michel, President of the European Council, on the sidelines of the 4th European Political Community summit in Oxford, Trend reports.

„In recent months we have seen the possibility for direct bilateral contact between Azerbaijan and Armenia. And, you know, I have tried to do my best on behalf of the EU to help facilitate the direct dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia“, he told journalists.

The 4th meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) is underway in Blenheim Palace in Oxford, UK. Some 47 heads of state and government are invited to take part in this EPC meeting.

The leaders are discussing continued support for Ukraine as well as shared challenges. The roundtable meetings cover topics including migration, energy, connectivity, defense, and the safeguarding of democracy. The European Political Community aims to foster political dialogue and cooperation to address issues of common interest and strengthen the security, stability, and prosperity of the European continent.
