JOURNALISTS

The Armenian political observer, and commentator on the “Shant” TV channel, Artem Yerkanyan, who recently visited Azerbaijan, considers the reciprocal visits of Armenian and Azerbaijani journalists to be unprecedented. Yerkanyan stated this in an interview with the correspondent of the local branch of Sputnik, summarizing the results of his trip to Azerbaijan.

According to Yerkanyan, Armenian journalists repeatedly have had the opportunity to communicate directly with ordinary Azerbaijanis.

A group of journalists from Armenia  will arrive in Baku on November 17 as part of mutual confidence-building measures. “Turan” became aware of this on the sidelines of the “Eastern Partnership Media Conference 2019” held in Riga.

Armenian journalists will visit a number of government agencies and meet with experts.

The exchange of visits by journalists is provided by шге agreements at the level of heads of state, as a part of humanitarian measures to build mutual trust.
