On June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and scheduling a snap election for September 1.
The pre-election campaign for the snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan has started, Trend reports.
This matter is reflected in the calendar plan of main actions and activities for holding an extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament.
According to the plan, the pre-election campaign will begin 23 days before the voting day, that is, on August 9, and last 24 hours before the start of voting until 08:00 (GMT +4) on August 31.
The pre-election campaign can be carried out by registered candidates, their authorized representatives and authorized persons, political parties, blocs of political parties, their authorized representatives, and authorized persons whose candidacy is registered.
