Implementation of the project covering transfer of green energy from Azerbaijan to Romania and Hungary through Georgia and the Black Sea continues, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said, Trend reports via the ministry.

Shahbazov made the remark within the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue conference during a roundtable dedicated to perspectives for a future energy partnership.

Azerbaijan will become an important green energy and hydrogen supplier to Europe in the near future, said Azerbaijan’s energy minister Parviz Shahbazov, Trend reports.

He was addressing the ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council held in Baku Feb.3.

Parviz Shahbazov said that the Green Energy Advisory Council, along with the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council, proves that along with natural gas, green energy is a priority for Azerbaijan.

Volumes of gas supplies through TAP since launch disclosed

Since the launch of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), more than 19.4 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas have been transported to Europe, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, Trend.az reports via his Twitter publication.

Azerbaijan will provide almost a quarter of Bulgaria's natural gas needs

By the end of the year, Azerbaijan will provide 19 percent of Bulgaria's natural gas needs. This was stated by the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan - Parviz Shahbazov on his Twitter page.

"In Romania, we discussed the development of bilateral energy cooperation with Rosen Hristov - the Minister of Energy of Bulgaria. By the end of the year, 19 percent of Bulgaria's natural gas needs will be provided by Azerbaijan," the publication says.

Azerbaijan names planned volume of gas export to Bulgaria

A meeting between the Minister of Economy and Industry of Bulgaria Nikola Stoyanov and Minister of Economy Parviz Shahbazov took place, Trend reports via Shahbazov's Twitter.

"We discussed the commercial commissioning of IGB Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria and the gas supply to Bulgaria within the expansion of the TAP Trans Adriatic Pipeline. It is predicted that approximately 600 million cm of gas will be exported to Bulgaria by the end of the year," he stated.

The parties discussed the terms for starting commercial supplies of Azerbaijani gas to Bulgaria via the IGB interconnector.
