Ioannis was re-elected President of Romania

According to the latest data, 63.12% of the citizens voted for Iohannis, while for his rival, Viorica Dӑncilӑ, a former prime minister of the country, voted 36.89%.

Romania's current head of state - Klaus Iohannis, won the second round of the presidential election, which was held on November 24, 2019. This is evidenced by the preliminary results from the counting of the votes in 99.3% of the polling stations, reports “Mediafax”.

According to the latest data, 63.12% of the citizens voted for Iohannis, while for his rival, Viorica Dӑncilӑ, a former prime minister of the country, voted 36.89%.

According to the Romanian Central Election Bureau, the turnout of the second round of the presidential elections was 49.87%.

In the first round of the elections, which took place on November 10, 2019, more than 37% of the voters voted for Iohannis, and almost 23% for Dӑncilӑ. Turnout was 50.11%.

Klaus Iohannis has been President of Romania since December 2014.
