“Ukroboronprom” wants to participate in Azerbaijan's ammunition program

Director General of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom” Pavel Bukin met with Yakhia Musayev - First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan. The meeting took place in Istanbul. This happened within the framework of the international IDEF 2019 exhibition.

According to the press release of “Ukroboronprom” from May 2nd 2019, different issues on the potential participation of Ukrainian enterprises in the Azerbaijan ammunition program were discussed during the meeting.

The state-owned concern announced that Ukraine may produce separate components for ground artillery ammunition, as “Ukroboronprom” has all the industrial facilities, necessary for this production technology.

On its turn, the Ukrainian side is interested in receiving ammunition and melee assets from Azerbaijan.

The Fourteenth International Exhibition of the Defense Industry IDEF 2019, started on April 30 in the Turkish capital - Istanbul and will last until May 3rd 2019.

The exhibition is on the list of the world's largest forums for demonstration of news from the military-industrial complex. This year, 1061 companies and 150 delegations from 68 countries are taking part in it.

Within the framework of this exhibition, Ukraine has already made several deals: Turkey will buy Ukrainian barrel missiles “Cone” for its armored forces, and Ukraine will buy thermal cameras for anti-tank systems and military radios from Turkey.
