The suspension of supplies of Russian oil to the Lukoil refinery in Burgas from March 2024 does not mean the company's losing the opportunity to supply this refinery with raw materials, a source familiar with the matter told Trend.
The STAR refinery of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan has tested 28 different types of crude oil, head of the SOCAR Turkey Refinery and Petrochemicals Business Unit, director general of Petkim petrochemical complex Anar Mammadov said at a press conference for the Azerbaijani reporters.
Mammadov said that today the refinery buys oil mainly from Kazakhstan, Russia, Norway, as well as from Tunisia, Morocco, and the Mediterranean countries.
President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday that Turkey will send troops to Libya now that the north African country requested it, and he will present deployment legislation to the Turkish parliament in January.
Erdogan visited Tunisia on Wednesday to discuss cooperation for a possible ceasefire in neighbouring Libya. In a speech Thursday, he said Turkey and Tunisia agreed to support Libya’s internationally recognised government of Fayez al-Serraj.
