Azerbaijan continues implementing project of green energy export to EU

Implementation of the project covering transfer of green energy from Azerbaijan to Romania and Hungary through Georgia and the Black Sea continues, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said, Trend reports via the ministry.

Shahbazov made the remark within the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue conference during a roundtable dedicated to perspectives for a future energy partnership.

The SOCAR company has attracted international companies to revise its "green" strategy

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has engaged international consulting firms to review its "green" strategy.

This was announced by the representative of SOCAR - Teymur Guliyev at a panel discussion during the seminar "Green hydrogen - a path to decarbonization".

He noted that the process will be completed within six months.

EBRD will help Kazakhstan achieve carbon neutrality by 2060

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Kazakhstan have agreed to develop a long-term cooperation strategy to achieve carbon neutrality of the country’s power sector by 2060. The accord will further cement Kazakhstan's status as a regional renewable energy leader in Central Asia.

The roadmap for the decarbonisation strategy was signed by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev and by EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso on March 31st, 2021, during her first visit to Central Asia’s largest state.

BP, Azerbaijan to co-op on decarbonization of energy, mobility systems

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and bp today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in assessing the potential and conditions required for large-scale decarbonized and integrated energy and mobility systems, including renewable energy projects in the regions and cities of Azerbaijan, Trend reports citing bp.
