Kazakhstan, TRACECA discuss the development of ferry services on Caspian, Black Seas

Vice Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Satzhan Ablaliyev and Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA Aset Asavbayev have discussed the development of ferry services on the Caspian and Black Seas, Trend reports.

The parties also exchanged views on transportation issues in the field of road transport, including the problem of traffic congestion at the Sarpi and Red Bridge (Georgia) checkpoints.

Fresh look at Kazakhstan’s pushes to develop Middle Corridor in 2023

Kazakhstan is working to develop its section of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor), Trend reports.

According to official figures, 2.5 million tons of goods were transshipped through the seaports of Aktau and Kuryk along the TITR route in 11 months of 2023, a 107 percent increase over the previous year.

In 2023, Kazakh oil was carried along the Middle Corridor for the first time.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this during his speech at the 14th Conference of Ambassadors, Trend reported on Monday, citing TurkicWorld.

Bp resumes oil transportation through Baku-Supsa pipeline – regional president

bp has resumed oil transportation through the Baku-Supsa pipeline, said Gary Jones, bp Regional President to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye during a briefing dedicated to bp's plans for the future, Trend reports.

According to him, two tankers with oil have already been delivered to the Georgian Supsa port.

"Depending on weather conditions, oil via Baku-Supsa will be transported to world markets," he added.

TRACECA will hold an event to increase trade on the route Central Asia - EU through the ports of the Caspian and Black Seas

TRACECA will conduct a study tour on the possibility of increasing trade on the route "Central Asia - European Union" through the ports of the Caspian and Black Seas, the TRACECA administration announced on Thursday - May 12, 2022.

According to a source from TRACECA, the trip will last from 16 to 24 May 2022.
