The administration of the President of the USA - Joe Biden in the coming weeks will give a name to the mission in support of Ukraine. This was announced on August 24, 2022 by the authoritative American newspaper "The Wall Street Journal". By naming the operation, the US is formally recognizing its actions and efforts in Ukraine, as it did in Iraq and Afghanistan with Operations “Iraqi Freedom”, “Enduring Freedom”, and “Freedom's Guardian”.

The United States is still "a ways away" from any possible decision on whether to re-introduce U.S. troops into Ukraine, General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on Monday, even as he acknowledged low-level planning underway.

President Joe Biden decided to withdraw American troops from Ukraine before Russia's Feb. 24 invasion in order to avoid a direct conflict with a nuclear-armed adversary.

EU to provide new 500 million euro military aid to Ukraine - Borrell

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Friday the bloc would provide a further 500 millions euros worth of military support to Ukraine and that he was confident a deal could be reached in the coming days to agree an embargo on Russian oil.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers meeting in northern Germany, Borrell said the military support would be for heavy weapons such as tanks and artillery and take the bloc's aid to about 2 billion euros.

Bloomberg: EU agrees to share classified information with Ukraine

The EU has approved an agreement with Ukraine that allows the exchange of classified information with Kyiv, including satellite images. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources.

According to the agency's sources, the initial agreement will be for a period of one year, but it can be extended after that.

The ambassadors of the EU countries were informed about the agreement at their meeting on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Czech Republic to bolster its military aid to Ukraine

The Czech Republic plans to deliver further military aid to Ukraine, worth at least $31.5 million dollars, government spokesman Václav Smolka told CNN Sunday.

Smolka declined to elaborate on the details of the aid package but said the time of delivery depends on when his government will be able to get "the required material".

The Czech Republic already committed on Feb. 26 to send a “shipment of weapons to Ukraine” worth over $8.5 million to a “place of Ukrainians choice".

Turkish lawmakers support sending troops to Libya

Libyan Government of National Accord asks Turkey for air defense complexes

Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA), which resides in Tripoli, headed by Fayez Sarraj, has asked Turkey to provide it with air defense systems. The “Al Hadath” TV channel, announced this on December 26, 2019, citing its own sources.
