France continues to actively arm Armenia. This time, 109 new generation „Caesar“ self-propelled howitzers will be delivered. The first delivery is planned for 2026.

As Trend reports on Tuesday, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu and his Armenian counterpart Suren Papikyan signed an agreement on the sale of the „Caesar“ artillery system to Armenia.

On his X account, Lecornu said he met with Papikian as part of Europe's largest defense industry event, „Eurosatory“. (https://x.com/SebLecornu/status/1802937545463918812/photo/1 )

“We continue to strengthen our defense relations with Armenia,” he noted, adding that the meeting with Papikyan was productive.

„Caesar“ artillery systems are produced by the French defense industrial company „Nexter“.

It was previously reported that Yerevan will receive more than 20 French „Bastion“ armored vehicles this summer.

“More than 20 „Bastion“ armored personnel carriers were exported to Armenia. This is the first stage of the contract, which is part of strengthening defense cooperation between Yerevan and Paris. A second batch of similar volume should be sent this summer,” noted the „ForcesOperations Blog“.

So, France continues to arm Armenia, thereby undermining the peace process in the South Caucasus. These actions raise serious questions about Paris' motives and their impact on efforts to achieve stability and security in the region.
