Azerbaijani Center was opened in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro

Emphasizing the development of Azerbaijani - Ukrainian cooperation in all areas, including in the field of education, Vusal Suleymanov noted that the opening of the Azerbaijani Center is indicative for the strategic relations between the two countries (Azerbaijan and Ukraine, ed.).

The historian Eldar Tagiyev, Professor Suleyman Huseynov and the teacher at the Azerbaijani Sunday school, working for the League of Azerbaijanis in the city of Dnieper - Kenul Agamalaeva, have noted that the opening of such centers is aimed to strengthen and stimulate the Azerbaijani community.

Azerbaijani Center was opened in the building of the University of Customs and Finance, located in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro (formerly Dnepropetrovsk, renamed in the framework of the decommunization in Ukraine). The opening ceremony was attended by the staff of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine, members of the Azerbaijani community in the Dnipro city and public and political figures from the city.

According to АЗЕРТАДЖ (AZERTADJ), before the opening ceremony of the Center, created with the financial assistance of the leader of the League of Azerbaijanis in Dnipro, Sarhosh Ismailov and with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine, a meeting of the Azerbaijani delegation with the rector of the university Dmitry Bocharov Ph. D. - Doctor of Law (Candidate of Law, according to Ukrainian terminology).

Expressing appreciation to the university's leadership for supporting the establishment of the center, the adviser at the Azerbaijani Embassy, Vusal Suleymanov, noted that the work on expanding cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries (Azerbaijan and Ukraine, ed.) will continue in the future.

On his turn, Dmitry Bocharov, stressed that the university is interested in implementing joint projects with higher education institutions from Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the staff of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, presented as a gift to the rector of the university a book about the Karabakh group of Azerbaijani carpets.

Afterwards, the guests were introduced to the University Museum and walked around it.

Noting that under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan - Ilham Aliyev, great care is being taken by the state for the development of education in the country, the diplomat said that this Center will contribute to the development of education and propaganda of Azerbaijan.

They noted that the opening of such centers was aimed to strengthen and stimulate the Azerbaijani community.

It was noted that the Center also is going to become a favorable platform for propaganda of the realities in Azerbaijan, as well as its history and culture.

In the end, an artistic program was performed with the participation of talented Azerbaijanis living in Dnipro. The violin performance of the song "Saryi Gyalin" by Emin Aliyev, the song of Muslim Magomayev "Azerbaijan", the performance of the student dance group "Leyla" and the excerpts from the work of the brilliant thinker Nasimi were met with great interest.
