Uzbekistan eyes to open its terminal at Baku International Sea Port – deputy minister

Uzbekistan intends to open its own terminal at the Baku International Sea Trade Port, Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Abdusamat Muminov told Trend in an exclusive interview.

“This terminal will function both for sugar transportation to Uzbekistan and for our export supplies. We want to use public-private partnership for this, so that Uzbek entrepreneurs invest in the development of the infrastructure of the port of Alat for further use”, he said.

TRACECA will hold an event to increase trade on the route Central Asia - EU through the ports of the Caspian and Black Seas

TRACECA will conduct a study tour on the possibility of increasing trade on the route "Central Asia - European Union" through the ports of the Caspian and Black Seas, the TRACECA administration announced on Thursday - May 12, 2022.

According to a source from TRACECA, the trip will last from 16 to 24 May 2022.

Azerbaijan and the World Bank ink a new loan agreement

The Azerbaijani government and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) which is a member of the World Bank (WB) group, signed a loan agreement worth $65 million on October 27, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry.

The document was signed by the Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov and WB Regional Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael.
