The TANAP Natural Gas Pipeline Project covers high-pressurized pipeline and associated structures for transmission of natural gas 31 billion m³/y, scheduled for supply from Azerbaijan to Turkey and Europe for 50 years.
The pipeline length is 1,850 km, starting at the Georgian border, leading to Greece Border of Turkey. Pipeline Length: 1,850 km. Pipeline Diameter Onshore: 56” (1,335 km) and 48’’ (496 km) respectively. Pipeline Diameter Offshore : 36” (19 km). MAOP: 100 bar.
In January-April of this year, Azerbaijan exported 3.191 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye.
According to Trend calculations based on data published by the State Statistical Committee, the income from this volume of natural gas exports amounted to 894.9 million US dollars.
Compared to the same period last year, gas exports to Türkiye increased by 4 million cubic meters, or 0.1% in kind, and in value terms decreased by 112.1 million US dollars, or 11.1%.
Thus, in January-April 2024, 3.187 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth 1.007 billion US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan to Türkiye.
It should be noted that in January-April of this year, the volume of natural gas imports to Azerbaijan amounted to 176.5 million cubic meters, and its value was 27.2 million US dollars. Also, the total volume of natural gas exports from Azerbaijan in the first four months of the year amounted to 8.2 billion cubic meters, and its value was 3.1 billion US dollars.
It should be noted that during this period, natural gas from Azerbaijan was exported to Georgia, Serbia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Italy and Greece, and imported from Russia and Turkmenistan.
