We express our condolences to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the families of those hurt and killed in the attack on Azerbaijan’s embassy in Tehran.

The United States condemns any form of violence and is committed to ensuring the safety and security of foreign diplomatic missions.  We call on the Iranian authorities to investigate and hold those responsible for the attack accountable.

Iranian regime’s new absurd statement – terrorist in psychiatric hospital

The Iranian regime has placed Yasin Huseynzade, an Iranian citizen who committed a terrorist attack against the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran, in a psychiatric hospital, Trend reports.

During the attack on the embassy, the head of the security service was killed and two embassy guards were injured.

Germany and France support the idea of including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of Iran's army, literally “Army of Guardians of the Islamic Revolution”, also called “Sepah” or “Pasdaran”, ) on the list of terrorist organizations. This was reported by the British newspaper "Financial Times" on Sunday evening, citing sources familiar with the progress of discussions on this matter.

Iran gives provocative “warning” to Azerbaijan before attacking embassy in Tehran

As tensions between the two countries have been escalating, just a while ago, Iran "warned" that, if Azerbaijan takes any steps against the Islamic Republic, it will receive a "decisive reaction".
