Iran Ready to Ramp up Output ASAP

Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji said the country would readily enhance its crude oil output to help stabilize the global market.

Speaking on Wednesday, March 2, following the 26th ministerial meeting of the OPEC+ (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies), Mr. Owji talked about the decisions of the meeting.

The construction of Khudafarin and Giz Galasi hydro junctions has been completed and the installation of turbines at the hydro junctions has begun, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyyed Abbas Mousavi stated.

He made the remark during a press conference on the 43rd anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Revolution and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Vice president for Flight Standards at Civil Aviation Organization of Iran Arash Khodaie has announced that a committee has been formed by the Ministry of Road and Urban Development to facilitate paying $150,000 to each of family of 176 victims of the Ukrainian plane crashed in Iran's airspace in 2020, Trend reports via IRNA.

Iran's cabinet of minister established a fixed amount of money to be paid to the relatives of each victim, regardless of their nationality.

Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan signed a trilateral agreement on swap gas supplies in Ashgabat on Sunday.

The signing took place in the presence of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi.

According to the agreement, annually from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan through Iran will be sent from one and a half to two billion cubic meters of gas.

Tehran and Baku have agreed on swap gas supplies to Azerbaijan via Iran from neighboring countries, including Turkmenistan, the Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji said on Sunday in Tehran following the talks with visiting Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.

„A constructive meeting was held with the Azerbaijani delegation and important agreements were reached”, the Shana news agency quoted Owji as saying.
