Azerbaijan reveals gas export figures to Europe

Azerbaijan has exported 2.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe during the first two months of 2024, the country’s energy minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote on X, Trend reports.

„From January to February of this year, Azerbaijan exported 2.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe, 1.4 billion cubic meters to Türkiye, and 0.6 billion cubic meters to Georgia“, Shahbazov stated.

CEWR confirmed the price of natural gas for the month of January at BGN 77.60 per megawatt hour

According to a CEWR announcement from January 1, 2024, the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation approved the price of natural gas for the month of January in the amount of BGN 77.60 per megawatt hour (MWh), excluding access, transmission, excise and VAT prices. At this price, Bulgargaz JSC will sell natural gas to final suppliers and to persons who have been issued a license for the production and transmission of thermal energy.

Greece bolsters gas imports from Azerbaijan – EU shares latest data

Greece has significantly increased its gas imports from Azerbaijan, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.

June saw a notable surge in imports, with 174.6 million cubic meters received, compared to 163 million cubic meters in May, marking a 7.1 percent month-on-month increase.

Greece imported a total of 1.020 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan between January and June 2023.

Azerbaijan, Albania discuss development of TAP project - minister

Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku discussed the development of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project, Azerbaijani minister wrote on Twitter, Trend reports.

Shazbazov noted that the parties also touched upon the issues of Albania's gas supply.

Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania preparing agreement for gas supplies from Azerbaijan - Péter Szijjártó

Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania are preparing an agreement for gas supplies from Azerbaijan, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, said, following the meeting of the ministers of the countries of Organization of Turkic States, Trend reports via Hungarian media.

According to the minister, an agreement has been reached to launch the supply of 100 million cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan to Hungary this year.
