The oil transportation facility of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), the "Kropotkinskaya" pump station, was attacked by drones, Trend reports, citing the Consortium.
"On February 17, 2025, the 'Kropotkinskaya' pump station was targeted by a drone attack. The terrorist strike involved seven UAVs, which were equipped with explosives and metal shrapnel. The attack was carried out in intervals, aiming not only to disrupt the station's operations but also to cause casualties among the station’s staff. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the personnel. Thanks to coordinated efforts, the Consortium's employees successfully prevented an oil spill," the consortium stated.
A management team, led by CEO N.N. Gorban, has been sent to assess the damage and determine how long it will take to restore the station.
