Earlier, Iranian authorities stated that women who refuse to wear the hijab could be banned from attending universities and other educational institutions in the country.

The Ministry of the Interior of Iran has announced that "smart video cameras" will be installed in public places and on the streets in the country to detect women who walk without a hijab or wear it carelessly - this is reported by the “Tasnim” agency, which refers to a statement from the ministry itself.

The measure is designed to prevent “tensions and conflicts between citizens” and “opposition to the hijab law”.

According to information from the Reuters agency, women - violators will receive messages with a “warning of the consequences”.
