Maria Chashka, deputy commander of the 49th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) "Karpatska Sech": "Among all the military, in our entire battalion, there is an absolute understanding that there can't even be a question about the borders in terms of their condition as of February 23, 2022. No one even wants to talk or think about it. We all unequivocally say that victory will come when we restore the 1991 borders in the first place. Only in this way and in no other way. We can't even imagine any negotiations, any semi-victories".
When Russia weakens to such an extent, that the empire disappears from the world map, then the real victory will come, stated in an interview to the editor-in-chief of “GORDON” - Alesya Batsman, the deputy commander of the 49th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) "Karpatska Sech" - Maria Chashka.
"Among all the military, in our entire battalion, there is an absolute understanding that there can't even be a question about the borders in terms of their condition as of February 23, 2022. No one even wants to talk or think about it. We all unequivocally say that victory will come when we restore the 1991 borders in the first place. Only in this way and in no other way. We can't even imagine any negotiations, any semi-victories," emphasized the battalion's deputy commander.
She has emphasized that the real victory will be only the disappearance of Russia as an empire.
"Indeed, victory for Ukraine will only come when Russia weakens to such an extent that it begins to disappear or simply disappears as an empire from the map. Only then will the real victory really come, because only then will we be able to be sure that this will not be a temporary appeasement of her ambitions, that this will not be a temporary lull, that in a year, two, three, five, when they regain their strength, no new [war] will start. Therefore, the actual day of victory will come when Russia disappears," said Chashka.
