Parviz Shahbazov: Kazakhstan to transport over 1.1 mln tons of oil via Azerbaijan by year-end-minister

By the end of the year, 1.125 million tons of oil from Kazakhstan will be transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, Parviz Shahbazov, said during a meeting with Serik Zhuminagarin, Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of the Astana International Forum (AIF 2023), Trend reports from the scene.

KazTransOil, the national oil transporter of Kazakhstan, shipped 9,959 tons of oil from the Tengiz oil field to Azerbaijan, Trend reports, citing KazTransOil.

Oil was sent to Baku by the “President Heydar Aliyev” oil tanker from Kazakhstan's port of Aktau. Upon reaching Azerbaijan, the natural resource export will continue via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.

Kazakhstan plans to send another 20,000 tons of oil to Germany via the Druzhba oil pipeline in April, Kazinform news agency reports.

As Minister of Energy Bolat Akchulakov announced on the sidelines of the Council of Ministers during a government meeting, the first batch of 20 thousand tons has already been shipped, the second batch - in the same volume was sent in March. In general, according to the contract, Kazakhstan should deliver 300 thousand tons of oil.

Bp resumes oil transportation through Baku-Supsa pipeline – regional president

bp has resumed oil transportation through the Baku-Supsa pipeline, said Gary Jones, bp Regional President to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye during a briefing dedicated to bp's plans for the future, Trend reports.

According to him, two tankers with oil have already been delivered to the Georgian Supsa port.

"Depending on weather conditions, oil via Baku-Supsa will be transported to world markets," he added.
