Romania has increased its oil purchases from Azerbaijan

From January to November 2025, Azerbaijan exported 22.1 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks, worth $11.5 billion, to 21 countries.

From January to November 2025, Azerbaijan exported 1.043 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous rocks, worth $559.7 million to Romania.

According to Trend, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, compared to the same period in 2024, this figure increased by $191.1 million in value, or 51.8%, and by 419,000 tons, or 67.1%, in volume.

During the period under review, Romania ranked fourth among countries to which Azerbaijan exported oil and petroleum products.

It should be noted that from January to November 2025, Azerbaijan exported 22.1 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks, worth $11.5 billion, to 21 countries.

According to the information, compared to the same period in 2024, this is 1.8 billion US dollars or 13.5% less in value terms, while in physical terms the figure increased by 576 thousand tons or 2.7%.
