Uzbekistan sees GDP growth in 2024

The positive economic indicators highlight Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to improve its economic structure through investments in various sectors, including industry, agriculture and infrastructure.

In 2024, the gross domestic product increased by 6.5 percent, reaching $115 billion.

As Trend reports, this was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a videoconference.

It was emphasized that the openness policy and active investment contribute to the stable growth of the country's economy. The volume of foreign investment increased by 1.6 times and amounted to 34.9 billion dollars. 242 large and medium-sized projects worth 10 billion dollars were put into operation, and exports exceeded 27 billion dollars for the first time.

The positive economic indicators highlight Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to improve its economic structure through investments in various sectors, including industry, agriculture and infrastructure.

Uzbekistan also plans to attract $42 billion in investment.
