Poland has handed over another five thousand Starlink terminals to Ukraine - Ministry of Digital Transformation

On February 26, 2022, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation - Fedorov turned to Musk with a request to provide Ukraine with "Starlink" terminals. On February 27, 2022, Musk responded to the request, and on February 28, 2022, the first batch of terminals already arrived in Ukraine.

Ukraine received another 5 thousand Starlink terminals from Poland. This was announced on August 22, 2022 by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine - Mykhailo Fyodorov.

"Our Polish friends handed over 5 thousand Starlink [terminals] to Ukraine." This will help Ukrainians to always be connected, and critical infrastructure sites to work in the most difficult conditions," Fyodorov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He thanked for the help of the State Secretary for Digitization of Poland - Janusz Cieszynski.

At the end of July 2022, Fedorov announced that there are already 12,000 Starlink terminals in Ukraine.
"Starlink" is a project for a system of orbiting satellites of Elon Musk's company "SpaceX" for cheap and high-speed Internet. The US Federal Communications Commission has given SpaceX permission to launch 12,000 satellites of this type, which are designed to deploy a full-scale network that should provide Earth's inhabitants with broadband Internet access anywhere on the globe.

"Starlink" terminals help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be constantly in touch and carry out special operations, to support the work of critical energy and telecommunication facilities, of health facilities and the sowing campaign, as well as to bring back to life the de-occupied territories, the minister commented. According to data from the Ministry of Digital Information, as of April 2022, "Starlink" had about 150,000 daily active users.

On June 9, 2022, Fesdorov announced that the company representing SpaceX Starlink in Ukraine had received an operator's license.
