AzerTelecom and Kazakhtelecom leading telecommunication operators of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan continue joint efforts in implementing the Trans-Caspian Fiber Optic cable line, which is one of the major components of mega Digital Silk Way project.
Kazakhstan continues the work on laying a fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, which will link Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom, said, Trend reports, citing the press service of the President.
The statement was made during the meeting between Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan plans to build a high-speed digital information network, with two branches of which will stretch from China to Azerbaijan and Russia, Kuanyshbek Yessekeev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom, said, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.
