Death toll from coronavirus in Iran exceeds 4,500

As many as 111 people have died from the coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past day in Iran, said Kiyanush Jahanpur, spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education.

According to Jahanpur, 1,617 people have infected with the coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
Jahanpur added that the condition of 3,877 people is serious and critical.

So far, more than 275,000 tests have been conducted in Iran for the diagnosis of coronavirus.

Jack Ma, Alibaba ship medical equipment to Kazakhstan to battle coronavirus

Chinese business magnate Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma sent medical protective equipment to Kazakhstan to help the country battle coronavirus pandemic, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministry said that cargo from Jack Ma and Alibaba funds arrived in Kazakhstan’s Almaty city from China’s Shijiazhuang city on Apr. 10, 2020.

Supervision of Kazakhstan’s industrial objects suspended due to emergency state

Supervisory activities in the form of visiting dangerous production facilities have been suspended In Kazakhstan for the period of the state of emergency, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

The exception is the investigation of an accident, and permit inspection prior to issuing a permit through a visit to the subject at the request of the licensor, and unscheduled inspections on the grounds of Kazakhstan’s Entrepreneurial Code.

Kazakhstan’s Aktau port maintains its operations amid coronavirus spread

Kazakhstan’s Aktau Sea Port in country’s Mangystau region continues handing of general cargo notwithstanding coronavirus spread fears, reports the port’s press office.

The port said that transportation of passengers by Aktau port has been suspended over the period from Apr. 3 to Apr. 15, 2020. This excludes those transporting cargo, food items and medicine.

The report also said that passengers transportation suspension did not affect ports activities on general cargo handling.

Coronavirus death toll reaches 1,685 in Iran

The number of people who have died from the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iran has reached 1,685 people, said Kiyanoosh Jahanpour, spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Trend reports.

As many as 129 people have died from COVID-19 in Iran over the past 24 hours, Jahanpour added.

He noted that 1,028 more people were infected over the past 24 hours in Iran.
