US and EU reluctant to address Armenia’s issues – PM

The US and the EU will not come and solve Armenia's problems, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan said in parliament, commenting on the results of the Brussels meeting, Trend reports.

„We have illusory or unrealistic expectations that some allies or relatives will come and solve our problems. It is necessary to fix and consolidate the fact that we should solve all our problems ourselves“, he said.

Where the EU exports its waste

The European Union exported 32.1 million tonnes of waste to non-EU countries in 2022, according to Eurostat. This is a slight decline from the 33.0 million tonnes of waste exports to these countries in 2021. Turkey was the primary destination country for EU waste that year with some 12.4 million tonnes sent there, accounting to 39 percent of the total exports of waste.

Azerbaijan reveals gas export figures to Europe

Azerbaijan has exported 2.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe during the first two months of 2024, the country’s energy minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote on X, Trend reports.

„From January to February of this year, Azerbaijan exported 2.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe, 1.4 billion cubic meters to Türkiye, and 0.6 billion cubic meters to Georgia“, Shahbazov stated.
