In an interview with LB.ua, published on May 30, 2022, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak said that the exclusion from the air of the channels "Direct", "Espresso" and "Channel 5" is a matter of unified information policy during war”. Asking the reasons for such a step, the interviewing journalist noted that these channels were "loyal" to the fifth president of Ukraine and currently MP and member of the “European Solidarity” party, Petro Poroshenko.
He also reminded Podoliak that these channels had partially broadcasted the single telemarathon.
„Partly - yes, and partly they broadcasted a man who is very selfish. We have a lot of daffodils, I understand, our politics is built on narcissism as such. By the way, this is again a question of the professional quality of the information space of Ukraine.
This man is in love with himself, let's say an owner, an indirect owner of the channels. And I don't understand much why is this self-love in the time of war, all your narratives there to sell them in such a way, within the framework of the unified information policy ", Podoliak reacted.
On the objection that the same can be said about the "daffodils" appearing on the air of the marathon, Podolyak said that Poroshenko "inflicts damage", which is much greater.

The UArazom marathon is broadcasted on national private, state and public television channels. It is created by the media groups "1 + 1", "Inter", "Starlight Media", "Ukraine", the parliamentary television channel "Rada" and the Public Television. A number of nationwide TV channels did not participate in the project.
On March 19, 2022, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky with his decrees № 152/2022 and № 151/2022 put into effect the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on "implementation of a unified information policy in the state of martial law" and "neutralizing threats to the information security of the state."
After the signing of the decree "Channel 5", "Espresso" and "Direct", which so far did not participate in the project "UArazom", changed their program schedule and joined it. However, on April 5, 2022, the channels were removed from the T2 digital airwaves and the national telemarathon was broadcasted instead.
The State Special Communication Service announced that the channels were excluded from broadcasting by decision of the National Security and Defense Council.
