“Sarmatia” oil pipeline joint stock company opts for new president

Sarmatia Oil Pipeline Joint Stock Company has changed president, Trend reports via Sarmatia.

According to the decision of shareholders, the JSC was headed by Bozena Knipfelberg, a representative of the Polish company PERN S.A.

To note, the company was established in 2004 on the initiative of PERN Przyjazn and Ukrtransnafta for the completion of the Odessa-Brody-Plotsk-Gdansk oil pipeline.

Within the framework of cooperation between SOCAR and "DeGolyer and MacNaughton", work on counting 27 fields according to SPE-PRMS classification in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea has started, Trend reports.

According to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), a meeting was held between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Chairman and CEO of DeGolyer and MacNaughton John W. Wallace.

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and Kazakhstan’s National Company KazMunayGas have signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation for the transit of Kazakhstani oil through the territory of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

The document was signed following a meeting between the Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Ali Asadov and Alikhan Smailov, in Baku, says Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers.

Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) and Uzbekneftegaz JSC, state-owned holding company of Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry, have discussed the creation of a joint venture for gas trading, Trend reports via Uzbekneftegaz.

The issue was discussed at the meeting between management of Uzbekneftegaz and the delegation headed by President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf.

Turkish BOTAS and Azerbaijani SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) have established a new company to sell gas to Europe, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez said in an interview with CNN Turk, Trend reports.

“We have announced the goal of becoming a gas trading center, and Azerbaijan also supports us in this matter. The Balkan countries request gas from us and Azerbaijan. We’ll act on this issue together”, the minister said.
