Speaking at the signing ceremony, the President of ASELSAN (ASELSAN is a Turkish Armed Forces Foundation company established in 1975 to meet the communication needs of the Turkish Armed Forces through national funds) Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgun said, that the agreement aims to carry out the integration of weapon systems with guided munitions of Turkish origin and to carry out avionics modernization activities for the aircraft in service with the Air Force of Azerbaijan.

Turkey will modernize Azerbaijani Su-25 aircraft to meet the modernization needs of the Air Force Command of Azerbaijan. 

"Su-25 Modernization Project Contract Signing Ceremony" between the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) was held at the 16th International Defense Industry Fair.

Within the framework of the project, which is closely monitored by the heads of state of both countries, the aim is to make maximum use of the internal and national opportunities and capabilities of the Turkish defense industry.

Stating that the capabilities of the Turkish defense industry will be utilized to the maximum extent in the works to be carried out under the contract, Görgun said: “The project to be executed will strengthen our strong brotherly ties with the friendly and brotherly country of Azerbaijan, whose foundations are already laid in the past”.
