Araz river crisis: Armenia’s mining pollutants colossally undermine neighbours’ ecology

The head of Iran’s Mining House Mohammad Reza Bahraman has expressed his concern about the pollution of the Araz river by the Armenian copper mines, Trend reports.

Bahraman noted that unfortunately the Iranian government has ignored this problem, while the Iranian mining sector has followed all the required standards.

The official added that some groups in the mining field have criticized the Iranian mines for being unethical.

Azerbaijan wraps up in “Araz valley economic zone” in Karabakh

Topographic surveys and site reserch have been completed on 200 hectares of ‘Araz valley economic zone’ industrial park in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district [liberated from Armenian occupation in the 2020 second Karabakh war], Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Economy.

The territory of the industrial park will be divided into agricultural, industrial, social and technical zones.

Iran begins installation of turbines at Khudafarin, Giz Galasi hydro junctions

The construction of Khudafarin and Giz Galasi hydro junctions has been completed and the installation of turbines at the hydro junctions has begun, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyyed Abbas Mousavi stated.

He made the remark during a press conference on the 43rd anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Revolution and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
