Azerbaijan will provide more than 90% of Georgia's natural gas needs in 2024

According to data on Georgia's natural gas balance, 3.217 billion cubic meters are planned to be imported in 2024, of which 3.017 billion cubic meters will be imported from Azerbaijan.

In 2023, gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Georgia were forecasted at 2.858 billion cubic meters.

For 2024, Georgia's natural gas balance is estimated at 3.231 billion cubic meters, with 99.6 percent of this volume coming from imports.

Turkish construction materials will appear in Armenia

From January 1, 2022, the ban on the import of construction materials from Turkey to Armenia will be abolished. This was reported by Day.Az, citing Armenian media.

“The ban on the import of Turkish clothes, shoes, cosmetics and other goods will be lifted in the coming months”, the statement said.

Turkmenistan remains China's most important gas supplier

From December 2009 to December 2019, from Central Asia, mainly from Turkmenistan, to China were delivered 294.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, “Trend.az” reports, citing an information of the “Xinhua” news agency from the 6-th of January, 2020.

The “Xinhua” news agency cites data from the “PetroChina West Pipeline Company”. Turkmen gas operations have benefited more than 500 million people in 27 provincial-level administrative units, as well as in the Special Administrative Region of Xianggang, the release said.

Turkmenistan ranks among Uzbekistan's top ten foreign trade partners

In 2019, Turkmenistan has entered the list of Uzbekistan's top ten foreign trade partners, “Trend.az” reported, citing the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

From January to November 2019, total trade between the two neighboring countries reached US $ 457.8 million. For comparison, the previous year's turnover was $ 243.9 million.

Azerbaijan has almost halved cigarette imports from Georgia

In the period January - October 2019, Azerbaijan imported 1 705 038 boxes (1000 pieces in each box) of Georgia cigarettes and tobacco, worth a total of $ 29.826 million.

According to the Georgian Bureau of “Report”, this is indicated by the data of the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

An annual comparison of the volumes of cigarettes and tobacco, imported into Azerbaijan from Georgia shows that imports decreased by 3 158 882 boxes or by 85.3%.

The turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan is 5 percent up

In the period January – October, 2019, the volume of the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan reached 191 228.67 thousand dollars, which is by 8 773.04 thousand dollars or by 4.8% more than in the same period last year.

According to calculations, made on the basis of the report of the State Customs Committee, in the first 10 months of 2019, the volume of exports from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan was $ 21 135.5 thousand, which is by $ 19 054.07 thousand or by 47, 4% less than in the same period last year.

Import of Russian grain triples in Azerbaijan

Some 857,000 tons of grain and cereals have been imported from Russia to Azerbaijan since the beginning of the second half of 2019, which is three times more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports on Nov. 19 referring to the Russian media outlets.

The share of grain which is exported to Azerbaijan amounted to about four percent of the total volume of grain which is exported from Russia.

Azerbaijan bought 265 thousand tons of wheat from Kazakhstan for nearly $ 60 million

Azerbaijan purchased 265 thousand tons of wheat from Kazakhstan, between January and September 2019, reported “Khabar 24”.

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of wheat import is increased by 30 percent. 
Overall, grain for 58,5 million American dollars was delivered to Azerbaijan.
