Azerbaijan will provide more than 90% of Georgia's natural gas needs in 2024

According to data on Georgia's natural gas balance, 3.217 billion cubic meters are planned to be imported in 2024, of which 3.017 billion cubic meters will be imported from Azerbaijan.

In 2023, gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Georgia were forecasted at 2.858 billion cubic meters.

For 2024, Georgia's natural gas balance is estimated at 3.231 billion cubic meters, with 99.6 percent of this volume coming from imports.

At the same time, supplies from Russia in the amount of 200 million cubic meters of gas are expected.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, in January-November 2023, 2.5 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Georgia, which is 13.6 percent more than the same period in 2022 (2.2 billion cubic meters).
