The intermodal transport corridor Thessaloniki-Kavala-Alexandroupolis-Burgas-Varna-Rousse will soon not be just an ambitious plan, we are determined to make it a reality. This was the general opinion expressed at a meeting today between the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policies and Minister of Transport and Communications Hristo Alexiev and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of Greece Kostas Karamanlis. Rail and road connectivity, as well as cooperation between Bulgarian and Greek ports, was the main topic of the conversation.

The Natavan dry cargo ship, which is part of the transport flotilla of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), is transporting carbamide from the Turkmen port of Bektash to the port of Varna in Bulgaria, ASCO representatives reported.

This marks Natavan’s first voyage outside the Caspian Sea after its overhaul, according to the report.

The ASCO said electrical and welding work was carried out during the renovation on the main deck and in the engine room.
