Iran's deputy foreign minister discussed the nuclear deal in Beijing

One of the topics discussed by the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Aragqi and Chinese Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu, was the meeting of the Joint Committee on the nuclear deal at Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs level, which is scheduled for December 6, 2019.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Aragqi and Chinese Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu have negotiated in Beijing. A key point in the negotiatons was the nuclear deal. According to Trend.az news agency, which on its turn relies on TASS, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported about the event.

One of the topics discussed, was the meeting of the Joint Committee on the nuclear deal at Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs level, which is scheduled for December 6, 2019.

“The nuclear deal is a major achievement of diplomacy, and our Chinese friends agreed that the agreement should be safeguarded”, Aragqi stated on the results of the talks. “In this regard, we have looked at different ideas for maintaining the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)”.

Following a meeting with China's Deputy Foreign Minister, Aragqi went to Tokyo, where he also intended to discuss with his Japanese counterparts the issues related to the nuclear deal.
