Iran racked by protests after massive gas price hike

Protests broke out throughout Iran Saturday after the government moved to effectively hike the price of gasoline by 50 percent overnight.

Angry protesters parked cars in the streets to block traffic in more than a dozen cities, and crowds numbering in the thousands marched throughout the country, many chanting, “Down with the dictator” and other anti-government slogans.

Some shouted, “The enemy is here!” a reference to the government’s continued vilification of the US.

Armenia and Russia postponed gas tariff hike until April 2020

Nagorno-Karabakh has always been an integral part of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev said, during the opening of the Second Summit of Religious Leaders.

“In ancient times, Nagorno-Karabakh was Azerbaijani territory. On all ancient maps and on the maps of Tsarist Russia, all toponyms in Nagorno-Karabakh are of Azerbaijani origin”, stated President Aliyev, quoted by “Interfax Azerbaijan”.

Georgia to send observers to Azebaijan

A group of Armenian journalists is going to visit Baku

A group of journalists from Armenia  will arrive in Baku on November 17 as part of mutual confidence-building measures. “Turan” became aware of this on the sidelines of the “Eastern Partnership Media Conference 2019” held in Riga.

Armenian journalists will visit a number of government agencies and meet with experts.

The exchange of visits by journalists is provided by шге agreements at the level of heads of state, as a part of humanitarian measures to build mutual trust.

Georgia refused Kadyrov to build the way “Itum-Kale – Shatili”

Georgian Prime Minister's Special Representative for Relations with Russia - Zurab Abashidze, has said that the opening of a road linking the Chechen village of Itum-Kale and the Georgian Shatili is not planned. Swiss investors will relocate their plant from Poland to the Ukraine
