Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov attended a NATO meeting, organized on 25 October 2019 at NATO Headquarters in Brussels at the level of Defense Ministers of the countries, which contribute to the “Resolute Support Mission” in Afghanistan.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the issues of security and the political situation in Afghanistan, the recent achievements of the mission, its future and a number of other issues were discussed.

Energy cooperation with Azerbaijan is important for Bulgaria, and if Sofia manages to buy Azerbaijani gas, it will be a great achievement for the country. This was stated by Mrs. Ekaterina Zaharieva, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, during a joint briefing in Yerevan, with her Armenian counterpart, Sputnik - Armenia reported.

According to Mrs. Zaharievas statement, at the same time Bulgaria is developing good relations with Armenia.

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has allowed the Azerbaijani operator “Bakcell” to buy Vodafone Ukraine, the AMCU website announced on October 24-th, 2019.

Today, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has granted a permit to “Bakcell” LLC (Baku, Azerbaijan) indirectly to acquire the shares of “Preludium” B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands), which provides a 50 percent majority of the votes in the company's senior management body.

President Ilham Aliyev received the chairman of the open joint-stock company “Azercosmos” - Rashad Nabiyev. The reason of the meeting was the success of Azerbaijan state, which won the right to hold the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Baku in 2022. This right was obtained after an election held at the General Assembly of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) in the capital of the United States, Washington.

Azerbaijan purchased 265 thousand tons of wheat from Kazakhstan, between January and September 2019, reported “Khabar 24”.

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of wheat import is increased by 30 percent. 
Overall, grain for 58,5 million American dollars was delivered to Azerbaijan.

EU Special Representative for he South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia – Toivo Klaar will visit Azerbaijan.

According to the Azerbaijan Press Agency, following information from the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Klaar will arrive on October 30, 2019.

During the visit, which will take place on October 30 and 31, Toivo Klaar will hold a series of meetings with Azerbaijani officials.

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov met with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Bahodir Kurbanov. Minister Kurbanov is visiting Azerbaijan in connection with his participation in the next session of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS member countries.

The tactical exercises of the Azerbaijan Navy on the protection of energy infrastructure in the territorial waters of Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea have been completed.

As reported by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the purpose of the exercises conducted to work out the issues of planning and conducting combat operations with interaction of the battleship tactical groups, was to organize joint actions in the composition of the naval units.

In accordance with the annual plan for military cooperation, signed between the ministries of defense of Azerbaijan and Poland, a working meeting between experts of both countries in the field of military law, took place in Baku, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the population in Kazakhstan has estimated how many jobs will be required to be created annually by 2025, the online edition LS reports. According to Labour Minister - Berdibek Saparbaev, Kazakhs will have to create about 380,000 new jobs each year.
