The Russian State Duma proposes the Soviet flag to become the state flag of Russia - as a "symbol of the reviving superpower"

The so-called M.P. in the State Duma from the annexed  Crimea by Russia - Mikhail Sheremet has proposed the Soviet flag to become the new state flag of Russia. This was announced on May 18, 2022 by the Russian agency RIA Novosti.

Sheremet said the West feared the Soviet flag because "the red flag of victory reminds him of the greatness of our people and our great victory".

A member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation said that Poland encourages the RF "to put it on the list of denazification after Ukraine"

EU to provide new 500 million euro military aid to Ukraine - Borrell

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Friday the bloc would provide a further 500 millions euros worth of military support to Ukraine and that he was confident a deal could be reached in the coming days to agree an embargo on Russian oil.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers meeting in northern Germany, Borrell said the military support would be for heavy weapons such as tanks and artillery and take the bloc's aid to about 2 billion euros.

Germany: Government no Longer Opposes Russian Oil Embargo

Denmark became the first donor to rebuild Ukraine's destroyed energy infrastructure

Denmark became the first donor to the fund set up by the European Energy Community to rebuild energy infrastructure in Ukraine. This was announced on April 25, 2022, by the press service of the Council of Ministers of Ukraine on its official website.

It is noted that the funds from the fund will be used to restore the energy infrastructure damaged or destroyed after the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine.

Nearly 20 Holocaust museums spread across four different countries called on the world to “do more” to stop Russian “atrocities” and “war crimes” in Ukraine on Sunday, taking out a full-page ad in the New York Times declaring that “if we, as the bearers of history, do not speak out, then we have failed in our mission”.
