Ilham Aliyev: On all ancient maps and maps of Tsarist Russia, all toponyms in Nagorno-Karabakh are of Azerbaijani origin

Nagorno-Karabakh has always been an integral part of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev said, during the opening of the Second Summit of Religious Leaders.

“In ancient times, Nagorno-Karabakh was Azerbaijani territory. On all ancient maps and on the maps of Tsarist Russia, all toponyms in Nagorno-Karabakh are of Azerbaijani origin”, stated President Aliyev, quoted by “Interfax Azerbaijan”.

Georgia to send observers to Azebaijan

A group of Armenian journalists is going to visit Baku

A group of journalists from Armenia  will arrive in Baku on November 17 as part of mutual confidence-building measures. “Turan” became aware of this on the sidelines of the “Eastern Partnership Media Conference 2019” held in Riga.

Armenian journalists will visit a number of government agencies and meet with experts.

The Islamic State terrorist grouping has claimed responsibility for the murder of a Catholic priest and his father on Monday, November 11, 2019 in Northern Syria.

Earlier, SANA news agency reported that the trustee of the Armenian Catholic Church, located in the border Syrian city of Qamishli and his father, had been shot dead in northeastern Syria, en route from Al-Hasakah governorate to Deir az Zour.
