The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan - Maksat Mamytkanov and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Land Transport Agency of Azerbaijan - Anar Rzayev discussed issues of cooperation in the field of transport, in particular the development of the Middle Corridor.

This was reported by the Trend news agency on February 11, 2025 (Tuesday), citing the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.

In addition, the topic of professional training of drivers and the establishment of direct contacts between Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani carriers was touched upon.

It should be noted that the Middle Corridor is an international transport route passing through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to Turkey and European countries. The route is also part of the ancient Silk Road, which is currently being revived within the framework of the international initiative "One Belt, One Road".

We recall that in 2024, the TMTM Coordination Center (the abbreviation is one of the abbreviations of "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route", there is also the abbreviation TITR), which is aimed at developing the infrastructure and expanding the functionality of the route. The new platform will work to increase the competitiveness of the corridor, reducing the delivery time between Europe and Asia to 15 days.
