The head of Iran’s Mining House Mohammad Reza Bahraman has expressed his concern about the pollution of the Araz river by the Armenian copper mines, Trend reports.

Bahraman noted that unfortunately the Iranian government has ignored this problem, while the Iranian mining sector has followed all the required standards.

The official added that some groups in the mining field have criticized the Iranian mines for being unethical.

The EU, through its structures, will allocate 10 billion euros for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis said on January 29 in Brussels at the Global Gateway global investment forum.

Armenia may deliver new maps of minefields in Karabakh to Azerbaijan "if an atmosphere of trust is created," Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said during a press briefing, Trend reports.

„Currently, the Armenian side is trying to create new maps through surveys. If there is an atmosphere of trust, the Armenian side may discuss handing them over to Azerbaijan, but this time with the participation of the international community“, he said.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have direct communication line, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a press conference, Trend reports.
