Northern Macedonia to build another pipeline to transport Azerbaijani gas


Northern Macedonia intends to build a gas pipeline to connect with Bulgaria to gain access to Azerbaijani gas, Trend.az reports, citing the “Central European Financial Observer”.

According to the announcement, representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry of Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria, have come up with a common initiative to build a gas pipeline, that will connect the town of Strumica with the neighboring Bulgarian town of Petrich.

TAP, IGB, IAP projects need to be accelerated, says Greece


The implementation of the Trans-Adriatic gas pipeline (TAP), Greece-Bulgaria (IGB) interconnector and Ionian-Adriatic pipeline (IAP) projects, that provide Azerbaijani gas to Europe, needs to be accelerated.

According to Trend.az, which refers to Greek media, the Greek Prime Minister - Kyriakos Mitsotakis said this on the sidelines of the fourth Thessaloniki summit.

Bulgarian parliament ratifies IGB loan agreement

Bulgarian Parliament has ratified the guarantee agreement between Bulgaria and the European Investment Bank under the contract of October 10 this year between the European Investment Bank and the Bulgarian Energy Holding EAD to finance the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB) project, “Trned.az” reports citing Radio Bulgaria.

The capabilities of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) transport corridor should be expanded even more, Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy said.

Energy cooperation with Azerbaijan is important for Bulgaria, and if Sofia manages to buy Azerbaijani gas, it will be a great achievement for the country. This was stated by Mrs. Ekaterina Zaharieva, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, during a joint briefing in Yerevan, with her Armenian counterpart, Sputnik - Armenia reported.

According to Mrs. Zaharievas statement, at the same time Bulgaria is developing good relations with Armenia.
