Kazakh company to redirect metal products to Aktau port with further shipment via TITR


Due to the situation in Ukraine and logistical difficulties occurring as a result of this, Kazakh exporters were offered to use an alternative possibility of sending goods through Kazakh seaports and further along the TITR.

Kazakhstan’s Arcelor Mittal Temirtau JSC has expressed its readiness to redirect nearly 50,000 tons of metal products to the port of Aktau with their further shipment through Azerbaijan and Georgia [being part of Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, or TITR], Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

As previously reported, due to the situation in Ukraine and logistical difficulties occurring as a result of this, Kazakh exporters were offered to use an alternative possibility of sending goods through Kazakh seaports and further along the TITR.

The ministry said that at the moment there is a possibility of redirecting up to 18 million tons of cargo to the seaports of Kazakhstan.
