The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine - Mikhail Fedorov, together with the company "EOS Data Analytics" called on March 1, 2022, international companies engaged in remote sensing of the Earth to provide Ukraine with data from their SAR satellites (Synthetic Aperture Radar), to track the movement of Russian occupation forces.
The EU has approved an agreement with Ukraine that allows the exchange of classified information with Kyiv, including satellite images. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources.
According to the agency's sources, the initial agreement will be for a period of one year, but it can be extended after that.
The ambassadors of the EU countries were informed about the agreement at their meeting on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

As early as February 28, 2022, Josep Borrell announced at a press conference that the European Union had asked its satellite center in Madrid to provide intelligence to Ukraine on the movement of Russian troops, and that EU countries intended to increase their military assistance to Ukraine at bilateral level.
"But we have to be ready to pay the price, or we will have to pay a much higher price in the future," Borrell said at the press conference.
