Azerbaijan unveils value added growth in non-oil industry in 2021

The value added in the non-oil industry of Azerbaijan increased by 17.8 percent, and in the non-oil refining industry by 21.7 percent in 2021, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov’s message on Twitter.

The share of non-oil industry in non-oil GDP reached 9.6 percent in 2021, which is higher than in 2020 (8.5 percent) and 2019 (7.6 percent).

Number of employment contracts increases in Azerbaijan - minister

Since the beginning of income tax reforms in early 2019 in Azerbaijan, there has been an increase of up to 283,000 in the total number of employment contracts, including an increase of more than 233,000 in the number of employment contracts in the non-oil private sector, referring to Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov’s message on Twitter.

Kazakhstan failed to create diversified economy – President Tokayev

The diversified economy has never been created in Kazakhstan, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during a meeting with businessmen, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

"It is possible to conditionally single out two economic turning points,” President Tokayev said. "The first is the transition from the planned economy to the market economy. While experiencing major shocks and suffering losses, Kazakhstan was able to rise and adapt by carrying out hard but necessary reforms."

Azerbaijani Energy Ministry to co-op with ACWA Power in offshore wind energy
