Today is the 84th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
Initially, according to the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), Vladimir Putin hoped to conquer Ukraine in a few days. One of the POWs, whose testimony was published by the SBU, said that Russian servicemen were given provisions for three days.
After the invasion began, international companies began to leave the aggressor country en masse. According to estimates by the Yale University Institute of Senior Management, more than 1,000 companies have already left the Russian Federation. Western countries have imposed sanctions on Russia, including personal sanctions against Vladimir Putin.
Since mid-April, the occupiers have concentrated their forces in eastern Ukraine. "Russian troops started a battle for Donbass, for which they have been preparing for a long time," said Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. He stressed that the Ukrainians will defend themselves and it is "only a matter of time before the entire territory of the country will be liberated".
According to data on the situation on May 18, 2022, the losses among the personnel of the army of the Russian Federation against Ukraine have reached 28,300 people. Only for the last 24 hours, 400 occupiers were killed around the clock.
