New Law Regulating Public-Private Partnership Enters into Force in Turkmenistan

The new Law of Turkmenistan regulating public-private partnership entered into force on Tuesday with its publication on state newspaper.

The Law of Turkmenistan on Public-Private Partnership defines the legal basis for public-private partnership, methods of its implementation and regulates relations arising in the process of preparing and implementing a public-private partnership project.

Sergio Perez wins F-1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku

Final round (51 laps) of Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has wrapped up in Baku on June 6.

Sergio Perez (Red Bull Racing) won the race, with Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin) coming in second and Pierre Gasly (Scuderia AlphaTauri) settling for the third place.

The Final Round of F-1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix was held from 16:00 (GMT+4) through 18:00.

Ten teams with two drivers for each, were competing for the championship gold.

Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev met with Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, on June 9, Trend reports.

Southern Gas Corridor to be discussed at 5th Meeting of TEN-E cross-regional groups

The Southern Gas Corridor, launched in late 2020 to supply Azerbaijani gas to Europe, will be discussed at the 5th Meeting of TEN-E (Trans-European Networks for Energy) cross-regional groups, Trend reports with reference to the European Commission.

The discussions are scheduled for June 22.

The implementation of the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector continues at a good pace, and all major project implementation activities have progressed significantly since the beginning of the year despite the complicated situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic. By the end of May, the welded sections of the pipeline have reached 145 km of the total length of the 182-kilometer route. The terrain is completely cleared, over 170 km of pipes have been distributed on site in preparation for further activities.

MAPNA, Bam Khodro Form JV to Manufacture Electric Vehicles

Iran has joined the global electric vehicle race, as the domestic engineering and energy giant, MAPNA Group, and Bam Khodro, a subsidiary of Kerman Motor Company, are gearing up to jointly produce EVs.

During a Sunday event on May 16, 2021, MAPNA Electric and Control Engineering and Manufacturing Company (MECO) and Bam Khodro set up a joint venture for the design and production of A- and B-class EVs and the development of relevant technologies, MAPNA’s Public Relations Office reported.

UK invests funds in Azerbaijan’s energy sector

The UK has invested $28.8 billion in the Azerbaijani energy sector, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.

Shahbazov made the remark at the press-conference on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UK.

“In general, UK’s investments in the Azerbaijani economy amount to $30.6 billion,” the minister said.
