During the second phase of the "special operation" launched this week, as people in the Russian Federation call the war against Ukraine for fear of punishment, it is planned to establish full control over Donbass and southern Ukraine and provide a land corridor to Crimea, said the  acting commander of the Central Military District - Rustam Minnekaev  (https://www.interfax.ru/world/837353 ).

"Since the beginning of the second phase of the special operation, it has already started literally two days ago, one of the tasks of the Russian army is to establish full control over Donbass and southern Ukraine. This will allow to provide a land corridor to Crimea, as well as to affect vital sites of the Ukrainian economy", Minnekayev said at the annual meeting of the Union of Defense Enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region on Friday (https://www.interfax.ru/world/837353 ).

The control of the Russian army over the Ukrainian south will also provide an opportunity to gain access to the border with Transnistria, said the command of the Central Military District.

"Control over the Ukrainian south is also an outlet to Transnistria, where there are also facts of pressure on the Russian-speaking population," Minnekayev said. (https://www.interfax.ru/world/837353 ).

Transnistria is an administrative unit within Moldova, officially recognized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe as a territory occupied by the Russian Federation. (https://pace.coe.int/en/files/29855/compendium#amdt-29863 ).

Commenting on the statement of the Russian military, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine - Andrey Ermak stressed that his country has its own defense scenarios.

"I want to remind you that many of the Kremlin's plans have already been thwarted by the efforts of our army and people. This is a war for freedom and we will win", he said (https://t.me/ermaka2022/340 ).
